We at TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc.  (“RYOBI,” “CPT,” or “We”) respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy.

This policy applies to information we collect:

  • When you visit www.ryobitools.com (our “Website”).
  • When you install, access, or use our mobile or desktop applications you may download from the Website, or apps provided by or on behalf of CPT through an online app store or other comparable mechanism (collectively the “Apps” and, together with the Website, the “Services”), including all information entered or collected by or in connection with the Apps.
  • Via e-mail, text, chat and other electronic communications with you.
  • When you purchase products from us.

It does not apply to information collected by any third party, including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from or through the Services.

This policy does not apply to workforce-related personal information collected from employees, job applicants, contractors, or similar individuals, which information is subject to a separate workforce policy.

Children Under the Age of 16

The Services are not intended for children under 16 years of age. No one under age 16 may use the Services, or provide any personal information to or on the Services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are under 16, do not use the Services or provide any information to us. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 16 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. Information We Collect About You

We may collect or receive the categories of personal information detailed below. Not all categories will be collected or received for every individual. 

  • Identifiers – Information that identifies you personally or with which you can be contacted, such as, for example, your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, IP address, and account credentials and profile information.
  • Financial Information – Information such as your credit card and debit card information.
  • Commercial Information – Information regarding records of your transactions with us, such as your product registration or purchasing history.
  • Internet or Other Similar Network Activity – Information about your internet connection, your equipment, browsing history, and your use of the Services.
  • Geolocation Information – Information such as your IP address.

Additionally, depending on how you use the Services, we may collect the following categories of sensitive personal information from you:

  • Precise Geolocation Information – We may collect information such as the precise location of your product or device so you can obtain product information (e.g., battery life) and location, consistent with your device settings.

We may aggregate or de-identify the information described above. Aggregated or de-identified information that we do not attempt to reidentify is not subject to this policy.

How We Collect Personal Information

We may obtain and combine personal information from different sources, collected online and offline, including information from third-party sources across different types of technology and devices. 

  • Directly from you when you provide it to us, such as when you fill in forms while using or in connection with the Services; when you communicate with us or process a transaction with us; when you register a warranty service; or when you enter into a sweepstake, contest, or other promotion.
  • Automatically as you access or use the Services, as described below.
  • From our business partners, such as resellers of our products.
  • From our service providers and partners providing transaction services, such as payment processors and fraud detection services.
